I'm a girl and i love Monty Python, i think it's hilarious(my fav being the holy grail). And no I'm not so weird ugly loser who never socializes I'm just a normal girl. Every time i tell a guy i love Monty Python they either geek out on me or look at me like I'm a freak. I don't get it, why is there a stereotype that only guys like Monty Python?

Heavens NO! I am a female Python fan before I even seen the tv show- I knew John Cleese from his work on a British Radio comedy from the 60's and a couple other things.

Been a British comedy fan since the early 70's I was watching britcoms like Doctor in the House and On the Buses before Monty Python aired Anywhere in the usa

I'm 53 and female and I love Monty Python. The Life of Brian and the Holy Grail are my two favorites. As for skits - Confuse a Cat and The Dead Parrot and Spam are my picks for best,. My husband just doesn't get it. I think it is because you have to actually listen to what the Python crew are saying - rather than just sit there and stare at the screen. So much of what they say just goes right over his head. He prefers stuff that you can just immediately tell what the joke is - like Benny Hill. Hold out for the right guy - having a comedy genre in common will make your bond stronger and you can make lots of inside jokes that other people who are used to ordinary comedy will never understand.

it's kind of unusual for women to like the Pythons. 30+ yrs ago at Penn State I was in teh Monty Python Society and we'd get a couple of girls out to meetings. We showed the movies on campus (this was before the VCR era) and sold lots of tickets

That's crazy. I'm a girl and we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail in the high school english class. We all loved it, female and male alike, and I've watched it repeatedly since then (even at one of my best friend's birthday parties).

Of course not! I see no reason why Python wouldn't appeal to females. It's nothing to do with gender, but rather your sense of humour. And in my book, anyone who likes Python must have a very good one!

I didn't realize there was such a stereotype. I love Monty Python, too. What's the big deal? It never struck me as a 'guys only' show.

It's different as yeah..guys usually like Python's type of humour..

But it's not weird.

You like what you like..no matter your gender.

Monty Python is hilarious!! I'm a chick and I love it. There's always gonna be stupid stereotypes, but it's up to girls like you and me to fight those. :)

Nothing weird about it. Keep looking until you find a guy who shares your interests; you will be glad you did.
