Question:
What are good drama-comedy tv shows?

Season 2 of Devious Maids has just ended, and left me wondering about how awesome season 3 is going to be! I was thinking "Wow! I really love this show! The characters are colorful, the storyline is surprisingly exciting -you'd think the lives of maids are boring, think again!, and it's the perfect match between drama and comedy". I figured out that good and suitable shows for me and my mood have to have that balance of dramatic events and funny jokes. To indicate that what I'm saying is based on true experimentation ( I know it's uncalled-for, but I want to! Tv trivial chatter is kind of my thing! ^_^ ), I watched two seasons of Brothers & Sisters and stopped due to its overly depressing nature. I'm already depressed, no need for more! I watched Desperate Housewives, Skins, My Mad Fat Diary, Freaks And Geeks, Drop Dead Diva, and others of great examples of drama-comedy tv shows. Nowadays, when ever I watch great sitcoms that usually make me laugh, they don't anymore! They just make me feel bad because I'm not laughing at something I would normally laugh at and call a good joke. Thus making me aware of my depression, which is something I don't want to happen WHILE ABSURDLY WATCHING A SITCOM!
The Gist:
Drama= inducing me to feel more depressed which is obviously bad.
Comedy= Don't affect me as it should.
PS:
Please,
try not to focus your attention on my depression, as it's a tv-related question not a life-related one!

Thanks in advance.
Love Always..

Give Fargo a try. It aired on FX earlier this year. It's a drama, but a lot of its foundation is dark comedy. It is an anthology series, so it has different characters and a different story every season (I'm very excited for next season already). It is also connected to a movie of the same name that came out in either 1996 or 1997, but it is loose enough that you don't have to watch the movie first unless you want to-- It stands on its own quite well.

How I Met Your Mother is a very funny sitcom, but it is also depressing as hell at times.

There are times when I'm laughing one second and in tears the next.
